FOCUS COUNSELING CLINIC Parkland Family Centre in downtown Red Deer boasts two methods of counselling to the public. The first is a free Walk-In Clinic (please visit our page regarding the Walk-In Clinic). Repeat clients should not expect to see the same therapist or counselor twice when attending the Walk-In Clinic. The second method is Focused Counselling which offers regularly scheduled appointments with the same therapist. The intention of Focused Counselling is to assist clients in reaching their intended goals. The model of treatment is outcome-based with emphasis on developing solutions and new meaning for clients. Graduate student interns and chartering psychologists staff this counselling service. All clinicians are directly supervised by an experienced professional. There is a fee for this service based on a sliding scale and ability to pay.
